Vasundhara Vrata

An extended group ritual focused on the Buddhist earth goddess based upon tantric sadhana, as led by the vajracarya priest Naresh Bajracharya.  A popular harvest ritual done by Newar Buddhists in late summer, often supported by guthi endowments. Video recorded outside the gallery on October 5th, 2019, created for the show, “Dharma and Punya: Buddhist Ritual Art of Nepal” at the Cantor Art Gallery, College of the Holy Cross, Fall 2019.
